Embrace the silence; sanctify the stillness, because sometimes the block is a divine pause, a moment to rest quietly, to hear a Holy whisper, to listen more deeply.
"Dear writers, embrace the pause without fear. Welcome it and have faith in God during this time. It could be a divine message from above, saying, 'Hold on, I'm still communicating."
Day 4: Ways to Navigate Writer’s Block
How do you handle writer’s block or creative challenges?
Kofie Bryant, Sr. - I set an atmosphere of inspiration and conversion. What I mean by that is inspiration, because I'm musically inclined and inspired by rhythm. I use worship at times in a rhythm, at times in synchronization, to reset my mind so that when I don't feel like it or I have a block, I'm creating the atmosphere for it to return. All I need to do is remember the origin of what I was focused on and why I was focused on it. Then God inspires me with the connection of resolve that I have, and it sets an atmosphere that allows ideas to come back.
Lachele Bryant - “Writer’s block,” I keep thinking about it. I stay with it, then sometimes I get up, I walk away from it, and then go back later. For creative challenges, I ask other people questions who I know are much more creative than I am. You don't have to learn how to do it; you need to know who knows how to do it.
